Who we are
About Us
Our aim
Building an Inclusive Future for Persons with Disabilities
Founded on October 23, 2023, in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya, our organization is a multi-cultural initiative led by persons with disabilities. We are committed to advocating for disability rights, promoting inclusion, and empowering individuals with disabilities through economic, educational, and social development programs. Our mission is to break barriers, strengthen accessibility, and ensure meaningful participation for all persons with disabilities in society.
Our work is rooted in the belief that every person, regardless of ability, has the right to equal opportunities, accessibility, and full participation in society. Through a holistic approach that integrates advocacy, education, and economic empowerment, we aim to challenge stigma, influence policies, and create sustainable solutions that address the unique challenges faced by persons with disabilities in refugee communities and beyond.
At the core of our mission is a commitment to breaking down barriers—whether physical, social, or economic—that prevent persons with disabilities from accessing education, securing employment, and contributing meaningfully to their communities. We strive to strengthen accessibility, ensuring that public spaces, learning institutions, and workplaces are inclusive for all. Moreover, we actively promote self-advocacy, equipping individuals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to stand up for their rights, challenge discrimination, and demand fair treatment in all aspects of life.
